Why are STEM studies so important?

The best coding courses for kids teach more than just coding

Like with any new subject, the most effective way to learn is through real-life problem solving. With coding, that means hands-on practice that begins with a visual editor like Blockly. Otherwise, kids can get lost in a sea of syntax.

The first steps of coding should also ideally be gamified, so that kids pick them up naturally, like they would any other language. Once they feel ready for a bigger challenge, text-based programming such as python language for kids is a good choice.

But even when they’re learning coding, real-life problem solving skills for kids don’t stop at the screen. They include soft skills such as critical thinking for debugging, creativity to find new solutions, and the ability to give and receive feedback to work collaboratively.

How does a robotics course teach kids coding? 

Robots are essentially machines that can be programmed by a computer to perform tasks automatically. Since robots are set to be integrated in nearly 90% of industries in the next 20 years, understanding how to make them work is a highly practical way to learn about coding
